Holland Opera develops educational material for all of its productions and we always offer workshops to actively involve children and youths with our performances. Holland Opera also performs shows specifically for schools, both in the Veerensmederij and in other theatres throughout the region. Our Christmas-production always features a children’s choir or dance group.
The Music Xpress
Holland Opera has developed an educational program for school classes called the Music Xpress. Every schoolclass can choose a different ‘track’ in the program, from designing your own stage set, to building instruments, and even writing and performing an entire opera with your classmates. Every track is concluded with a visit to one of our youth opera’s. All tracks are being professionally accompanied by musicians, designers, educational staff and a director from Holland Opera.
Music Xpress enhances the connection between our company and our young audience and stimulates children to actively make music themselves. It works inspiring for everyone who is involved.
